Los Angeles Rod and Reel Club
Good Sportsmanship is Worth More Than all the Fish in the Ocean

Welcome to the  Los Angeles Rod and Reel Club Website

Since 1950, Los Angeles Rod and Reel Club (LARRC)  members have been leaders in promoting sportfishing, conservation and environmental issues. Club members come together from diverse backgrounds with a common interest in local, deep sea, long range, freshwater and fly fishing. During the year, LARRC sponsors limited load one-day and multi-day charters at landings from Oxnard to San Diego. LARRC meets once per month at a dinner meeting featuring an interesting guest speaker.

The Los Angeles Rod and Reel Club Foundation, a non-profit charitable foundation, provides funding for various worthy causes, such as a disadvantaged kids' fishing trip (our big yearly event), mentors' fishing trips, fellowship grants and scholarships, construction of artificial reefs, marine research and studies and hatchery programs. The Louis Berke Trout Derby for special needs kids takes place every spring at Hansen Dam. Please visit the Foundation page to see all the good work done by the LARRC Foundation.

The club publishes a monthly newsletter, Chum Line, which keeps our members informed of club and foundation activities. Please take a moment and read this month’s edition found by clicking the Chum Line link.

By clicking on the Yearbook link you will find the club by-laws and fishing records. Here you can find out about membership requirements and outstanding catches by club members.
