The LARRC dinner meeting this month is scheduled for November 24, 2008 at Barone's Restaurant, 13726 Oxnard Street in Valley Glen, near the corner of Woodman Avenue. The cocktail and social hour begins at 6 p.m. and the dinner meeting starts at 7:00 p.m.
Marty Golden, our guest at this month's meeting, is a marine biologist with NOAA Fisheries Service in Long Beach. Presently he serves as the Pacific Coast Recreational Fisheries Coordinator and is responsible for agency recreational fishery issues from San Diego to the Washington-Canadian border. Marty has worked with marine resource and fishery issues in the Gulf of Mexico, and Atlantic and Pacific Oceans for over 36 years, served as an officer in the US Navy for about 32 years and is a NOAA Scientific Diver and underwater photographer.
Although he represents the government, don't expect a dry and boring lecture. Marty is a fascinating and entertaining speaker you don't want to miss.
Please RSVP ASAP! But, no later than the preceding Friday (November 21, 2008).
Call the hotline (818) 808-4909, and at the tone, please state your name and choice of menu. You may also email your RSVP to larrcdinnerrsvp@yahoo.com. If you're bringing a guest, state your guest's name and choice of entrée.
